THE CODING CLUB, WE CODE TO CREATE GAMES

It is obvious that most children today are part of a digital generation that has tangled and surrounded by technology and the internet, where they choose to use mobile phones, tablets, e-readers and computers as their main devices.
In today’s digital world, we are finding problems when kids nowadays spend hours with their gadgets. Some are reading e-books, watching YouTube and some are playing games. The last one intrigues us to provide a media for our students who love playing games to create their own games.

This academic year of 2017-2018, Al Fauzien Islamic School opens an after school club that is Coding Club. Coding is a fundamental skill alongside math and reading, but too few kids have the opportunity to learn to program because it is rarely taught in school.

By providing this club, the students will get these following:
Coding allows kids to be creative. They can create projects that do really amazing things.

Coding builds confidence. It is incredibly empowering for children to be able to create projects and show them off to family and friends.

Coding is best learned early. Learning to code is similar to learning a second language. The earlier that children are exposed to fundamental topics like sequencing, loops, and conditionals, the more deeply they absorb these concepts.

Coding translates to success in other areas. Learning to program supports learning in other areas, like math, reading, and science.

So, Let’s Learn to Code and Code to Learn Kiddos!
